The Board members attended an information session at Kelowna’s First United Church in April. This was to further understand upcoming changes to The United Church’s “Basis of Union” (the document that was drawn up when the United Church of Canada was founded in 1925). Several remits authorized by delegates to the 42nd General Council last summer must be considered and voted on by each Pastoral Charge.
The Board will be offering information sessions regarding this following Sunday Worship May 21, 2017. The United Church’s website offers lots of information around this subject should you wish to brush up ahead of time.
Trinity’s Board members will be meeting for a time of Retreat in early June. During this two days of getting together some planning for the upcoming year will take place. Watch for a detailed report on this later in June.
The Trustees are continuing their work in investing the proceeds from the sale of Camp Hurlburt. The Board and the Trustees are close to completing this process.
