The Trinity Board has been very involved in the past six months with matters related to the every day running of the Church. Although this is not normally the role of the Board, the present circumstances have altered our course somewhat. Until our Supply Minister arrived in mid February it became necessary for the Board to take on the Lead Minister’s duties which included supporting the staff and finding personnel to take on Sunday Services. The Personnel Team has worked closely with us during this entire time and without them our job would have been much more difficult. Allison Rennie has supported us in countless ways and we are very, very grateful for her assistance. When Reverend Liz Bowyer arrived things settled considerably. She has taken the lead in many areas and lightened our load.
The formation of the Search Team became our next big focus and with that up and running it was hoped we could get back to the job of setting a vision with accompanying objectives for the congregation. For a number of months we have attempted to finish out this work with other priorities always pushing it out of the way. Allison Rennie has spent time with us defining the road to follow regarding this and we hope we can start to complete this work. A great part of this is reviewing and updating policies to bring them to current relevance.
We are very pleased with the work of the Search Team and most hopeful this will lead us forward in our faith journey as a congregation.
As always please feel free to speak to any of the Board members should you have any questions regarding our work. It will be our privilege to respond as best we can.
