By Richard Rolke, Chair, Board of Trinity
Members of your board met Feb. 28.
We started off the meeting with Jeff leading us in an interesting discussion about congregational culture.
We also took action on a couple of items.
Naming of Park
First, as part of the agreement with the regional district on Camp Hurlburt, the board has submitted the name Hurlburt Park to be used for the property. It recognizes the long history that Trinity has with the site and the connection thousands of people have there. On a related note, the board had approached the Okanagan Indian Band to consider an Okanagan name for the property and that process continues.
Our other action item was to support upgrades to MacKenzie Camp’s washroom facility through a contribution of $5,860. It is anticipated that work will begin soon.
This was the final meeting of the board in its current form and at our next meeting, we will welcome two new members. More will be discussed about that at the congregational meeting.
As always, if you have any questions or just would like to talk, please contact any members of your board.
