Members of your board met May 14 and we had a very busy agenda.
We received reports from the treasurer and the worship and education and pastoral care and outreach liaisons on the ongoing activities within the congregation, as well as an extensive report from the property and stewardship liaison.
Among the actions taken on the property front are replacing the hot water tank because it’s at the end of its useful life. Measures will also be taken to enhance the security of the building to prevent potential break-ins.
Much of the meeting was dedicated towards board planning for 2016-17 and while no concrete decisions were made, we had healthy discussions and the vision for the coming year will continue to develop.
We also took time to discuss Jeff’s sabbatical, which begins in a few days.
As I mentioned about a month ago, a lot of planning has gone into the sabbatical and processes are in place to ensure that the business of Trinity continues in Jeff’s absence.
But obviously, Jeff’s presence and leadership will be missed. Jeff, we wish you and Don all of the best over the next four months and our thoughts and prayers will be with you. We will look forward to reuniting with you in September.
As always, if you have questions or would like to provide feedback about the life of Trinity, please contact members of your board.
