we believe that birthing the LOVE of God within us and for others through us is still very real.

Biblical JOY which is so very much more than any transient or superficial experience of mere ‘happiness!’

We embrace Peace.
Advent One: Christ, Our Hope!
Our hope is not just that ‘Christ comes one day’ so much as that we get to see/ own/ realize Christ’s presence as having come now, wherever we are!
Christ the King
This is the God who in Christ insists on washing our feet.
Looking Within
Jesus stressed how easy it is to be tempted/ lured into settling for so much less than what God intends
What Jesus Sees vs What We See
In today’s reading we find Jesus choosing to contrast the superficial gesturing of the effortlessly wealthy with the sacrificial giving of the most desperately poor.
Setting Lazarus Free
Even as we embrace our role as the saints that are called to unbind others, or at least to stop being the ones who are unhelpfully binding them into their too soon places of death.
Like Bartimaeus, wanting to see!
To what extent, like Bartimaeus on the side of that road, are you aware and just sick of being blinded by so much in your personal or community life-experience – distorting and darkening your vision?

We don’t become any holier by puffing ourselves up!
Do You Groan?
Holy groaning is a freedom offered and given to us as a way to express our faith and human experience.
The Rest Of The Story
We aim for the very highest, as God intends us to be. We also know that as the Apostle Paul knew, we miss the mark.
Wisdom in the Information Age
Wisdom, if we choose to seek her – will never let us stagnate. Wisdom will keep leading us on until we have learned whatever it is we need to learn next.
