Hello!
First, let me introduce myself. My name is Sara Morgan and I am the Program Coordinator here at BGCO – Teen Junction. I work alongside a small team of Youth Workers, where we provide daily snacks meals, and life skill based programming. We strive to break down as many barriers as we can for our most vulnerable community members, as well as, provide a safe space for everyone to come to. They get the chance to make mistakes and learn from them, we give them to opportunity to connect with healthy adults, as well as, connect them to the community supports they may need…
The Trinity Connection
I am sure many of you already know, but Teen Junction has been a long standing recipient of your congregation’s endless generosity, and has been provided a monthly meal for up to 45 Youth! For as long as I have been in my role, and I know it goes further back still.
With that being said, during the impact of Covid-19 we had to get a little creative in what that looks like, and were extremely grateful to be provided smaller individual sized meals. These meals gave us the opportunity further our at home food security to our youth and Families, as well as, provided a sense of comfort to Youth who have not had a home cooked meal in a very long time.
Not only did these meals provide food security for the Youth and their Families, but these meals helped the Teen Junction Team in a huge way.
While Staff was happy to not miss a beat during the Covid-19 pandemic and stayed open during it all. This was not done without difficulties and I find myself at a loss for words to describe how much those meals meant to myself, my team, and of course our Youth! There were days spent in crisis with Youth and Families, and I was able to provide my full attention to the moment on hand knowing our Youth will still have a delicious, nutritious meal made with love.
This could not have been done without your endless support and kindness.

Thank you
So, from the bottom of my heart thank you! Thank you for your love, your compassion, your generosity, your hard work, and for just being there. I know our Youth might not be the best at saying thank you, but I just know there will be a day where they will look back onto this time in their life, and they will find themselves smiling knowing someone cared.
